The problem with technology is that we forget that it is made in our image. We forget how to use the ultimate piece of organic technology that we have which is our brain and its power. One of the benefits of memorizing 120° is the increased focus on remembering things and the extent of one’s ability to recall facts. I am amazed by the fact that many can’t even remember a simple phone number (btw..research went into setting the phone number at seven digits. It was shown that your average person could remember a sequence of seven numbers without much effort). I laugh when parents come in the store asking which SAT prep book is the best. I’m like..none of them. The SAT is an achievement test. It measures how much you have accumulated up to that point. It is not something you ‘study’ for. The best way to increase your vocabulary is to read. It’s that simple.

There is a whole segment of people who don’t even attempt to learn a second language because they have been ‘told’ so many times that it is harder to do so when you are older. The only thing that is ‘harder’ is that you have to manage your time due to new responsibilities. Worldwide most people know 2 or more languages. When I was in Kenya I was startled that the youth, like 4 years old, knew 4 languages. I learned Spanish when I was a teenager. I learned the written mechanics of Arabic and Aramaic when I was in college. It required one thing; discipline. The media tries to crap on ‘bilingual’ education because they want you to be separate from the original man abroad (and they never tell you the ‘other stuff’ like…if there is no bilingual education schools can only teach in English. Thus students wouldn’t be able to learn ANY subjects until they spoke fluent English putting them behind in math and science, etc.).

Recently I have taken up another study to increase the usage of my brain power. I’ve been reading this book called Speed Mathematics. When I was young I use to watch that show “That’s Incredible” and see all of those human calculators and things. I never thought that this stuff was right within my grasp. By Understanding certain shortcuts and laws basically anyone can do this stuff. It really is incredible. Also there are other ways that you can increase the usage of your brain power: speed reading, increasing one’s ability to memorize, learning a new language, reading, etc. These are all REAL WAYS to utilize the brain vs. looking for those ‘mystery god’ i.e. telepathy, telekinesis, precognition, etc. If you don’t use it you'll loose it.

Peace
